    so we have the starting attributes list. is there a thread out that that talks about what suspected 'main' stats for each profession?

    Great to know, thank you. Looks like Midlander Hyur's are again the race with stats that don't excel or are low. But the stat difference still doesn't seem big enough to worry about.

    to Min/Max these are your sweet spots

    Non Magic DPS (STR/DEX) = Miqo'te Seeker of the Sun [16 str, 17 dex]
    Tank (STR/VIT) = Hyur, Highlander [18 str, 17vit]. Roegaden, Sea Wolf [17 str, 18 vit]
    Magic DPS (INT/PIE) = Hyur, Midlander [16 int, 16 pie]. Elezen, Wildwood [17 int, 16 pie]. Lalafell, Plainsfolk [16 int, 16 pie]. Lalafell, Dunesfolk [16 int, 18 pie]
    Heal/Protection (MND, PIE) = Lalafell, Dunesfolk [17 mnd, 18 pie]. Miqo'te, Keepers of the Moon [18 mnd, 17 pie]

    Sorry first time posting here, but found this place to be useful for information normaly.

    I was going to add to here that It appears that your stats do affect your Hit points and Mana totals now (or again if I remeber they affected them in alpha).

    So when you put points in Vitality it looks to increase your total health and Mind I believe is total mana.

    Absolutely! Just because there is a DEX->Craftsmanship skill in the GLD tree doesn't mean (and, in my opinion, explicitly means there isn't) already some DEX->Craftsmanship relationship in the GLD Discipline.

    I think the devs just wanted those abilities in there (because they're useful) and spread them out among the crafts (as you naturally would) and chose ones that made sense (and why not?). I realize I'm going against the "prevailing opinion" that the Hand Discs are all linked to a stat, but I think the prevailing opinion is wrong.

    If you have a combat class with a naturally high DEX, it might make extra sense to level GLD in order to get that DEX->Craftsmanship skill, but I don't believe GLD benefits from DEX before that. In any event, I've seen no data to support it and my own (limited) data refutes it.

    EDIT: Actually, the Wildwood Elezen have fantastic DEX - did you mean GLA? Ah well, consider my post independent, then.
