Post Treasures of the Main quest walkthrough

    Treasures of the Main quest

    Rank Level: 1+
    Starting NPC: Baderon
    Starting Location: Limsa Lomisa
    Total reward: 12,000 gil

When you first get to Limsa Lomisa you speak to Hobs and select the 2nd option. Here you will enter a cut scene with Baderon. After the cut scene go speak to Baderon again and select the quest, Treasures of the Main and Baderon will direct you to head over to Camp Bearded Rock. Take the stairs or the Lift down to the 1st Floor and head to the exit on the East part of the map called the Zephyr Gate.

Head North to Camp Bearded Rock and approach the Aetheryte and using the Menu button, click on the Aetheryte to interact with it. You will receive a message from Baderon telling you that he gave you a Levequest that you can do. Go in to your Menu and click on the Aetheryte again. Next select “Initiate Levequest” from the menu. Select the Leve, "My Very First Adventure" and then choose the difficulty level. If you are doing this alone, choose Solo.

Using the mini-map, proceed to the area to fight your Levequest mobs. You can tell which mobs are yours by the glowing red circles in the min-map and the also the notepad type icon next to the mobs names when you approach them.

After the battle, a Aetheryte Node will appear. Select it from the menu again to complete your quest and head back to Camp Bearded Rock using the free provided teleport. Your reward for doing this is 1000 gil.

After completing the leve, head back to the Drowning Wench and speak to Baderon again. You will need to speak to him a second time.

Note: Always re-select the Treasures of the Main option when speaking to NPCs.

Next proceed to the Culinary Guild and speak to Charlys for a cut scene.
    Reward: 2000gil

After the cutscene, head to the Musketeers Guild and speak to Isaudorel. Next head downstairs to the Firing Range for a cutscene.

After the cutscene is over, head back to Isaudorel for another cutscene. After the cutscene you will be placed in an Instance (mode) and you can speak to any of the NPCs in the room, afterward, head to the guild entrance for another cutscene.

After the cutscene, use the NPC Linkpearl in the menu and "talk" to Baderon, afterwards he tells you to head on over to the Fisherman’s Guild, go there and speak to N’nmulika. After the cutscene you will be placed in an Instance mode and will perform emotes on the NPC, Sisipu. Target Sisipu and select from the Emotes menu whichever she asks for. Press ‘N’ on the keyboard to bring up this menu fast. Sisipu asks you to use the following emotes: Bow, Clap, Congratulate, Poke, Joy, and Wave. Remember to have her targeted when doing these.

After the Instance mode is over, make any last minute preparations and head out to the Zephyr Gate to meet Sisipu. Once at the gate, you will be given the choice to enter a cutscene and you will now be starting an escort quest. This quest is fairly easy. You will escort Sisipu to the lighthouse for investigation. You must follow close behind her. She will stop each time she sees a mob and you need to go kill it before she can proceed further.

Once you reach the Lighthouse, you will enter another Instance mode and you need to check the Wind Worn Corpse lying near you. After the cutscene is over, head back to Sisipu for another cutscene.

Once the cutscene is over, you will be back at the Zephyr Gate. Head over to the Fisherman’s Guild for another cutscene as you enter.
    Reward: 3,000 gil

Next use the NPC Linkpearl and then head over to the Blacksmith & Amory Guild. Talk to Bodenolf for a cutscene. After the cutscene, you will be in an Instance mode, talk to H’naauza and then enter the guild for another cutscene.

After the cutscenes are done, use the NPC Linkpearl again to speak to Baderon, he tells you to go see him again. So head back to the Drowning Wench and talk to Baderon to complete the quest.
Reward: 6,000 gil and quest is completed.

You know, I was a bit iffy so far with this game, but doing just this main quest reminded me why I enjoyed FFXI This is what I want.

Maybe its just me here, but I can't get by this first quest. Kill three plague rats it says. Yet in about six hours of testing now, I've run in circles around the area searching for unclaimed plague rats, and haven't found a single one. I have only seen plague rats maybe three times altogether since getting out there even! Any advice? Not only is this a very bad thing in my mind for launch day (even if we get more starting areas to play around with come then), its keeping me from being able to test everything I could be testing in the game!

ivarian once you get the quest you have only 30 minutes to kill those rats. The radar map on the upper right of your screen shows you where they are at. There are larger arrows pointing to the general direction of where they are, as you get closer, the arrow changes to a orange color circle and there will be small red glowing dots in that radar/circle. Those are your rats you can claim. They will have a little icon by their names that looks like a piece of notepaper. All the quests so far seem to follow that same pattern of identifying and locating your goals.

Ah! Thanks so much. Seems like such an obvious thing too now that you've spelled it out for me heh. Appreciate the help.

Ok, updated to reflect changes made in Beta 3. The Farewell emote is gone and has been replaced with Wave for the instance with Sisipu. Also, now you need to check the NPC Linkshell to get update info from Baderon and then you can proceed to the next part of the quests.

Maybe this is a bit off topic. What are you suppose to do after you finish Treasures of the Main quest chain? Is there subsequent story quests or do you just grind...?

    Thanks.

If you didn't start the game as a CON it's this quest that also earns you the spell Tranquility.
After the quest when you go back to Baderon he will end the talk with a statement about different awards or something.

Several people I know had a real hard time figuring out why they didn't have the spell Tranquility.Probably a good thing to add to this guide.
