Whispers in the Wood quest

Rank Level: 10+
Requirements: Souls Gone Wild quest completed.
Starting NPC: Miounne
Starting Location: Gridania
Total reward: 15,000 gil

Speak with Miounne at the Carline Canopy to start the quest. After the cut scene with Miounne, head out to the Oak Atrium (Carpenter's Guild) and speak to A'naidjaa for the next cut scene.

After the cut scene you will enter an Instance (mode). Head outside behind the guild to the Acorn Orchard for another cut scene. After the cut scene you will enter an Instance. Talk to Fye to start the next cut scene.

After the cut scene you will be in an Instance; you can speak to the two NPCs or just head out to start the next cut scene. After the cut scene, your Journal is updated and Miounne is trying to contact you. Use the NPC Linkpearl to speak to Miounne, she informs you that E-Sumi would like to meet with you at the Greatloam Growery.

Head over to the Botanist's Guild and a cut scene will automatically start as you approach the guild. During the cut scene, E-Sumi marks your map in the Central Forest and instructs you to go gather Pearl Clover Fruits and give them to the Moogles.

After the cut scene, exit out of the Southwest exit of town to the Central Forest. Head to the spot marked on your Journal Map (Coordinates 24,27). As you approach the spot an cut scene will automatically start. After the cut scene is over, you will be in an Instance. Using the minimap, head to the green dot to follow the Moogle and start the next cut scene.

After the cut scene with the Pudgy Moogle, head back to the Greatloam Growery (Botanist Guild) and speak to Opyltyl for the next cut scene. After the cut scene, your Journal will be updated and Miounne is trying to contact you. Using the NPC Linkpearl, speak to Miounne and she instructs you to head over to the Quiver's Hold right away.

Head over to the Archer's Guild and speak to Nonolato for a cut scene. After speaking to Nonolato, head to the back room for the next cut scene. After the cut scene, your Journal will be updated and Miounne is trying to contact you. Using the NPC Linkpearl, speak to Miounne and she instructs you to stop by and see her before you travel out.

Head back to the Carline Canopy and speak to Miounne. After speaking to Miounne, she will reward you with 15,000 gil and you will have completed Whisper in the Wood quest.

Next Quest: Beckon of the Elementals

Next mission/quest in this line will most likely be at job rank 20.

I am having an issue with this quest! I am up to the point that I looke din my Journal and found the green spot in the Central Forest. I am standing on that spot and absolutely nothing happens. I have walked up and down that area with nothing happening at all. Any suggestions to what I did incorrectly?

Did you have the cutscene with the moogle where he asks for the fruit?

No, I am at the point that I bring up the Journal map there is a green dot/sphere with three questions marks above it at the coordinates above. I go there and absolutely nothing happens.

So E-sum has told you to go to the woods and get the fruit correct?
Once you go to that spot in the woods marked on your map, a cutscene will automatically start. Are you sure you went to the correct part of the woods?

?Yes he told me to go to gather. I am at the 24/27 coordinates, right where the green dot is on the journal map with the three question marks above it.

24 across and 27 down on the map should be it. If not, try 27 across and 24 down. The cutscene should automatically kick in. I've done this one twice and it worked each time. Very strange.

I am not at my computer right now so Iwill have to check to see if I have the soordinates backwards. If not I will try heading back to see if it lets me to the cutscene again where it tells me to go collect fruit. Thanks :-)

edit: Update! When I turned FF on last night the cutscene started automatically(I was logged out on the green dot). So if anyone else runs into this problem shut the game down and start back up!

Make sure your job is rank 10, not your physical level. Any job rank 10 or higher will activate the quest.
