Hello adventurers, and welcome. Throughout your adventures in Eorzea, you will probably participate in several guildleves. Currently, you can activate 8 leves per 48 hours (earth time) in FFXIV, with a 30 minute completion timer associated with each one. If you don't think this is enough to keep you occupied, may have another thing coming!
Today, you will learn why Guildleves are currently the greatest way make money in the early levels of FFXIV. You should also come to learn the 48 hour cooldown isn't so bad after all. Anyways, we have lots of work to do, so meet me at the Aetheryte and we'll get started!
Guildleves are an Excellent Source of Income
You have the option of selecting a difficulty level ranging from 1-5 stars, with greater difficulty bringing greater reward. As you may have seen , I opted to take the easy way out, choosing 1-star difficulty for 'Missing Teeth'. Even at the easiest level, there is still 189 gil and a shiny new piece of armor at stake.
Personally, I think this is very cool for partying. In MMO's past, I lean toward solo grinding as possible in order to level quicker and earn a higher profit in the early game. However, FFXIV rewards you accordingly for attempting more difficult leves, so it is well worth your while to find a good party.
The 48 Hour Cooldown isn't Bad at All
While you can only activate 8 guildleves every 48 hours, it doesn't mean that other people can't activate them for you. When another party member activates a guildleve, you will automatically be enrolled in it as well.
Let's say you are in a party of five and each member has eight guildleves remaining. When you do the math, that is a whopping 40 guildleves for the party. You also will receive the guildleve's rewards whether you activated it or not. As a result, you can acquire quite considerable sum of gil in very short period of time.
When the difficulty is higher, the rewards and experience received are much greater. You should also know that the completion time (4:39) is hardly a record.
If you play alone, you will exhaust your leves in no time at all . However, a party will keep you occupied for a very long time, and also fill up your pockets quite nicely. That being said, always try and find a party!
If you still think the 48 hour cooldown is torture, you may very well be a power gamer. It breaks my heart to inform you the Guildleve timer won't magically refresh itself. However, you can do either (or both) of these 2 things during downtime:
1)Grind, grind, grind....
2)Level up your crafting!
I strongly recommend you look into picking up a craft, seeing as they are not on the same cooldown as your standard guildleves.
Either way, you will have eight more sooner than you know it. Be patient!
